ILMA’s comprehensive PFAS Risk Management Program aims to help member companies navigate the growing regulatory, operational, and liability challenges associated with per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
Through partnerships with trusted industry experts, ILMA members now have access to specialized consulting services focused on two critical areas of PFAS risk management:
- Environmental and regulatory consulting through August Mack Environmental
- Fire suppression system assessments through ASK Distribution Consulting, LLC, in partnership with Vertex Engineering
ILMA is also developing a practical PFAS Risk Management Guide for members, which will be available soon.
Environmental & Regulatory PFAS Consulting
August Mack Environmental
As part of ILMA PFAS Risk Management Program, August Mack Environmental will provide PFAS consulting services to ILMA members.
AME offers comprehensive support in areas including:
- Federal, state, and local PFAS regulatory guidance
- Compliance verification and reporting
- PFAS chemical inventories
- Site investigations and sampling
- Remediation and waste treatment strategies
- Hazardous waste assessments
- Mergers and acquisitions (M&A) due diligence
- Cost and scenario modeling
Please note: Fire suppression system assessments are handled separately through ASK Distribution Consulting.
Members in good standing may access these services through a direct introduction from ILMA. There is no additional cost to participate in the program itself, and a portion of fees from referred projects helps support ILMA’s advocacy and compliance initiatives on behalf of the industry.
Fire Suppression System PFAS Assessments
ASK Distribution Consulting & Vertex Engineering
ILMA is also pleased to offer members access to specialized PFAS consulting services for fire suppression systems through ASK Distribution Consulting, LLC, in partnership with Vertex Engineering.
This service is designed to help companies that store chemicals or specialty ingredients better understand and manage PFAS-related risks associated with foam fire protection systems.
Service highlights include:
- Initial site visit and assessment
- Review of existing foam fire protection system documentation
- Evaluation of applicable regulations and industry best practices
- Assessment of the appropriateness of current fire protection systems
- Gap analysis and development of a practical PFAS risk reduction plan (if applicable)
- Comprehensive report of findings and recommendations
