Dear ILMA Board,
It won’t be long before we are together in Boca Raton, but in the meantime, here are a few highlights of activity here at ILMA:
- Kline will soon begin a study on the outlook for commercial vehicles and electrification, both on- and off-highway. The study, which the Board approved as a Program Fund initiative at our last meeting, will be completed prior to the Annual Meeting and will be the topic of a LubeTrends session.
- For another Program Fund initiative, our Insurance Task Force selected Jensen-Hughes to study risks affecting how insurance underwriters classify lubricant manufacturing plants. The Task Force (comprised of Jim Carroll, Dave Richards, and Greg Julian) is working with Jensen-Hughes to create a summary of data required from ILMA members that will be necessary for the firm to utilize in preparing the study. Stay tuned – we may request data submission from some of you.
- Annual Meeting registration is in full swing here at ILMA. We have registered 831 attendees so far. We are all excited about our keynote speaker, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.
- I have hired Mary Schmitt as the new Membership and Education Coordinator. Mary will begin remotely on July 1. She and her fiancé are returning to the DC area in August from San Francisco, and she will start working in the ILMA office. You may have already met Mary. She regularly attends ILMA meetings as a representative of Clowder, the developer of the ILMA app.
